Khazaen is an integrated economic city being developed over 51.6 million sqm of land in Barka, Sultanate of Oman. Our vision is to enhance Oman’s economy by developing a world class integrated economic city that includes an inland dry port, free zone with tax benefits, logistics and warehousing facilities, industrial, commercial, residential and mixed-use developments.
We are looking for an ambitious and energetic Commercial and Business Development General Manager to lead and deliver research and development, investment, strategic planning, commercial planning, expand the company’s clientele, and close business and commercial transactions.
You will be the front of the company and will have to create and apply an effective business development and commercial strategy.The goal is to drive sustainable financial growth through boosting inward investments and building new and strong commercial relationships with clients.
The role is responsible for continuing to build collaborative partnerships and alliances for stakeholders including government, authorities, investors, developers, similar organizations, sponsors, membersand customers. It is also responsible for developing new commercial partnerships, new revenue streamsand leveraging relationship to commercially benefit the organization.
|Duties and responsibilities|
| Develop the overall strategy and plan of the commercial and business development department and lead specialized research and development engagements and market intelligence.
Develop and lead all the assigned projects from end to end with responsibilities including planning, initiate research and development tasks, securing investors and tenants, initiating feasibility studies, desktop and third-party due diligence, structuring investments,stakeholders’ discussions and negotiations, execution of transactions, and public events and presentations.
Identify potential strategic business and investment trends and opportunities and take a leadership role in decision making and executing such opportunities.
Liaise and coordinate directly with Project Development and Engineering department to achieve the company’s overall goals and targets.
Develop the long- and short-termcommercial strategy and lead the implementation these strategies.
Develop an annual commercial plan which delivers key revenue targets and KPIs for the company.
Manage all commercial and contractual processes until successful closure.
Participate in conferences, seminars, exhibitions to obtain business opportunities both locally and internationally.
Manage, mentor, and coach staff within the team ensuring the greatest efficiency for the project delivery and encouraging all staff to meet their targets.
Keep up-to-date with the relevant market knowledge through participating in the different business development opportunities; following professional publications; maintaining personal networks; and joining professional organizations.
Enhance organization reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.
Manage, mentor, and coach staff within the team ensuring the greatest efficiency for the projects and encouraging all staff to meet their potential.
Set an example for staff and colleagues in areas of personal character, commitment, organizational skills and work habits.
Other duties as may reasonably be required.
|Minimum Academic Qualifications:
BSc Accounts/Finance, MBA is an advantage
Minimum Work experience:
10 years of experience in relevant field
Skills, Professional certificates & Competencies Required/Know-How:
Excellent Written and spoken skills in Arabic & English
Excellent Negotiation, Communication and Presentation Skills
Excellent skills in Market Due Diligence, Financial, Feasibility Studies and Sales/Marketing
Excellent Leadership skills
