KHAZAEN DRY PORT

Set to cover 250,000 sqm on completion, Khazaen Dry Port serves the needs of the shippers as well as logistics service providers. Benefitting from exceptional connectivity, this major component of the city serves as a trans shipment point and offers customs based services as well as opening up opportunities across the warehousing services value chain.

Khazaen Dry Port:

  • Oman’s first integrated in-land dry port.
  • Being developed by Marafi, Khimji Ramdas and Al Madina Logistics Services.
  • Connecting Khazaen Economic City and other economic
    areas in the Sultanate to the seaports, airports, and the
    boarders through Al Batinah Express Road.
  • Creating a central transshipment point to speed up the
    movement of containers and cargo as well as to reduce the

FOOD CITY

Food City is an integral part of the vision envisioned by Khazaen economic city to develop a state-of-the-art facilities that contributes to the development of the food industry in Oman. In the aim to fulfill the need of the National food security and enhance the value chain in the food industry. Khazaen initiated the project of fruit and vegetable central market, as corner stone and enabler for the food city. The fruit and vegetable market will be the source of fresh products, which will feed the streams of food production activities.

Khazaen Fruit & Vegetable Central Market:

The market will provide world-class infrastructure and facilities and adopt best international practices in infrastructure development, storage, packaging, handling, transportation, parking, and value-added services. The central market will also provide complete warehousing and cold storage logistics solutions for multiple products such as fruits, vegetables, fish, and meat.

    • One-stop hub for the retail and wholesale of fruits, vegetablesin Oman by consolidating importers, exporters, wholesalers, retailers, and consumers in one central destination.
    • World-class infrastructure and facilities toreplace the Mawaleh central fruit and vegetable market as the Government has decided to have only one central fruit and vegetable market to be in Khazaen and convert the existing Mawaleh market into a retail only souq.
    • Development of more than 800,000 sqm area in Khazaen in phases.

Pre-built Warehouses

  • Khazaen is planning to host a pre-built warehouses with
    33,600 sqm of built-up area.
  • Development of Warehousing complex, that offer flexible
    spaces with competitive rates.
  • The Pre-Built Warehouses will also cater for the internal
    demand created within the city premises, providing
    storage solutions for tenants residing within the city.
  • The warehouses are located opposite to the Khazaen Dry
    Port and will facilitate the storage of imports and exports.

  • Khazaen is offering a sub-development opportunity to
    invest, build and operate the Staff and Labour
    Accommodation Villages in the city.
  • Each superblock has a designated area of 750,000 sqm to
    host accommodations for staff and labor.
  • The village will have other services such as clinic, shops,
    restaurants and entertainments for the residents of the
    village.
  • Khazaen welcomes all the developers who are interested
