Khazaen’s vision is to develop best-in-class integrated Truck Rest Area that significantly improve the planning and traffic flow of trucks serving Khazaen and the flow of goods on the Al Batinah Express Way. Services such as parking, services and other supporting facilities for local and international trucks operating in Oman to meet the following objectives, including parking, driver’s rest area, maintenance, spare parts outlets, power points for trucks, security, and other supporting services.

TRUCK REST AREA

The Truck Rest Area is a project specifically developed to contribute and strengthen Oman’s Internal supply chain Network by offer logistics and ground handling service to logistics operators that connect markets with major ports in the Sultanate Oman and vice versa. Due to the rising logistics sector in Oman and Khazaen Economic City in particular, this project shall serve the transportation industry in creating the platform that can accommodate logistics providers with the all the necessary facilities. The truck rest area provides a wide range of services catered towards the trucking industry that would include Fuel and inland transportation, creating a destination that will serve truck inflow to the city and other major destinations.

Truck Rest Area

Khazaen’s vision is to build best-in-class integrated Truck Rest Plaza that significantly improve parking, rest and other support facilities for local and international trucks operating in Oman in order to meet the following objectives:

To provide integrated one-stop facilities for drivers and their trucks that address all their key requirements, including parking, driver’s rest area, maintenance, spare parts outlets, power points for trucks and other supporting services.
To ensure that the facilities are best in class, environmentally friendly and adapted to the local needs and requirements.
To streamline truck parking and improve road safety.
To secure private sector involvement for building and operating the facilities at its own cost and using its own resources.
To ensure that the Truck Rest Plaza complies with MOTC’s Highway Design Standards and Khazaen’s Development Guidelines and Rules & Regulations.
To serve as a standard Prototype for future truck rest areas in Oman.
